"But for the Grace..." to be at 2008 FringeNYC
"But for the Grace..." was based upon over 100 interviews in August of 2005 with food pantry clients, volunteers and staff. It has played to standing ovations at all venues. Most importantly, people are moved to action by its vital message. Providence Journal: "entertaining as they are instructive ... Eliet has managed to strike a nice balance here, telling believable, engaging stories about those who face hunger on a daily basis. ... 10 characters in all, and Jaffe manages to put a different and convincing spin on each of them, skillfully swapping voices and body language from part to part." "But for the Grace..." will be a part of the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC), running August 8-24th.
